The Land and Trails:
Holualoa Inn is surrounded in 30 acres of lush fragrant flower gardens, tropical fruit trees, Kona coffee trees, culinary herb gardens, and walking trails. The driveway is lined with a variety of Avocado trees, mango trees, and red torch ginger flowers leading up to the pineapple gardens and our meditative labyrinth. The garden labyrinth overlooks the warm blue Hawai’i waters and coconut palms. The labyrinth is used as a meditative path to relax, balance, and rejuvenate. The labyrinth is not a maze; it has a single path to the center and back out into the world. Ancient Hawaiian trails lead down the land beside the green pasture lands full of sweet guava and liliko’i (passion fruit). Bamboo forests grow tall in between jungle trees and old forests. Hawaiian pheasants journey the gardens each evening as the breezes come down the mountain. The sunsets are beautiful at the Inn; right in the center of the ocean.
