Booking directly through our website guarantees the best available rate, priority access to seasonal specials, and direct communication with our team.

A two-night minimum stay is typically required, with a three-night minimum during peak season (December 15 to the end of February). We occasionally allow one-night stays during select times of the year based on availability. These limited openings are managed through our reservation system and may appear automatically when available.

Our rooms accommodate up to 2 adults. Our Suites, Darrell Hill Cottage, and Red Barn can accommodate 3 guests with an additional $75 (plus tax) per night charge.

Yes, a deposit equal to one night’s stay plus taxes is required to confirm reservations.

Arrival & Policies

Check-in is between 3:00-6:00 p.m., and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Late arrivals may be arranged upon request.

Each room includes ceiling and tower fans, premium linens, organic bath products, filtered water, robes, beach towels, complimentary WiFi, and other thoughtful details listed on our Amenities page.

The Inn does not have air conditioning. Located at 1,400 feet, the Inn is 10-12 degrees cooler than nearby Kailua Kona at all times. The higher altitude and open-air spaces in the main house allow for the natural tropical breezes and the aromas of the surrounding flora. Each guest accommodation is equipped with ceiling and tower fans, and additional tower fans are available upon request. To be efficient, air conditioning would require all doors and windows be kept closed, thus stifling the tropical ambience.

Yes, complimentary on-site parking is available for all overnight guests.

Yes, we offer a mosaic-tile pool (unheated) and a hot tub, both available for guest use.

For the comfort of all guests, we do not allow pets on the property.

In the unlikely event that damages occur, charges will be added to your final invoice upon checkout.

Smoking inside our Inn, Cottage, and Red Barn is prohibited.

You can find both at the bottom of our website or by visiting our Privacy Policy and Accessibility Statement pages.

Sustainability

We are committed to mindful travel through several eco-friendly practices, including:

  • Solar panels on the Inn’s roof to reduce our carbon footprint.
  • Reusable jars and containers for our Lunches to Go and Dinner for 2, minimizing single-use waste.
  • Growing a variety of our own fruits, vegetables, and edible flowers to reduce food miles and ensure fresh ingredients.
  • Keeping bees on-site, allowing us to use our own honey and support local pollination.

Location & Activities

We’re located on the slopes of Hualālai Mountain in Hōlualoa Village, just 15–20 minutes from Kona and the nearest beaches, and 20–30 minutes from the airport.

Cool breezes, sunny mornings, and occasional afternoon showers. We’re perched at 1,400 feet for ideal upcountry Hawaiʻi conditions.

Hōlualoa is beautiful year-round, making anytime a good time to visit. November is a favorite during the village’s annual Coffee and Art Stroll. For fewer crowds, consider late spring or early fall.

Hōlualoa Village is a quaint art hub featuring boutique shops and art galleries. You can also explore nearby beaches, cultural sites, and outdoor adventures across the island. Visit our experiences page to discover a curated collection of favorite Big Island activities.

Hōlualoa is a quiet artists’ village set in the heart of the Kona Coffee Belt. Just minutes from Kona, it feels like a world apart. Instead of crowds and resorts, you’ll find coffee farms, art galleries, and scenic views. It’s a place where creativity and tradition live side by side.

Yes, Hōlualoa is one of the best places on the island to experience Kona coffee firsthand. Many small farms offer tastings and tours, including our own estate where we grow and roast 100% Kona coffee in partnership with Brazen Hazen.
